Andalusite (Proxamina) was now helping take care of Serpentine, they now lived in an old hut that she just happened to build. Serpentine now stood alone in the hut, staring out the only window she gave the place. This place....he hated it. It wasnt like home world. He always felt that way. Not even his love for Andy could help the fact that he was isolated. He still wished for power, even if he had the woman he loved. He stared in silence and still said nothing.
"Sssssssup bro?" Sir Leopold the third, (MAGICALMAGIC2) his little snake friend, slithered up his leg and waist until he was on his arm. "What're you thinking about?"
"Power." He said, his yellow eyes dazed. "I don't know why I'm thinking about it again."
"Perhapssssssss you misssssssssss enssssslaving?"
"No. Thats definitely not it." He said. "I really can't put my finger on it. I know who I used to be. I was ruthless, and I used to have gems bending at my will. But no, not anymore...." He clenched his fists. "I think I miss home world, noatter how much I've hated that awful place, I could talk to anyone I wanted."

"Well, didn't you ussssssse to eat them?" Sir Leopold said, flicking his tongue.
"Yeah. I did." Serpentine sighed, closing his eyes. He could feel a familiar feeling, but what was it? What was this feeling? He must've felt it before; the tingling of his body hinting strongly at that. He started imagining things. Everything became hazy.

"Serpentine!" Andy's voice came from the front door (actually, it was just an opening with a slab of wood in front of it). "Come look, I found another gem!"
Serpentine turned to see an Amber, (Burke23). He only stared into her eyes, and she stopped dead in her tracks. "Oh," she staggered, "I'm suddenly dizzy. What the heck is this?"
"What? Okay, um....go outside." Andy watched her new friend leave before looking at him. "Did you do something?"

"Of course not, my love." His vision cleared as he stared into her eyes, innocently smiling. Sir Leopold flicked his tongue at her.
"Okay...." She sighed with a smile, standing on her tippy toes to kiss him. "I'm going to see if Amber's alright."
"Right, see to her. She must not be used to the scent of weathered wood." As Andy left, he stared back out the window. "So I have a new power, huh?"
"What?" Sir Leopold said, looking at him curiously.
"I think I can control gems if I stare into their eyes long enough." He said with a crooked grin. "What am unusual gift, is it not, Sir Leopold?" He patted his snake friend's head.



"I'm so sorry." Andy came out, smiling. "Are you feeling alright, Amber?"
"Yes." She said. "Don't worry about me. I'm not too important."
"But we both love earth." Andy sighed. "I must see if a fellow nature lover is okay. What made you dizzy?"
"I don't know." She said blankly, tapping her chin with her hand as she thought. "Maybe that snake-man did something."
"No, he didn't."
"But, when I looked at him, I--!"

"He wouldn't!" Andalusite's eyes grew dark. "He's reformed. He used to be a villain worse than blue topaz."
"Worse than HER?" Amber's eyes were wide.
"Yes." Andy glared at her, clenching her fists. "He's loving, caring, and almost completely sane. I'm not going to let you ruin my hard work with this nonsense!"
"I--I'm sorry." Amber sighed. "I didn't know you felt so strongly about him. Just know, that if he does anything else to my friends, or to Earth, I will not hesitate to fight." Amber turned around, and walked away.
