Ssssnake tacticssss 2

Serpentine could feel the usual, past energy rush. He felt like he was capable of anything, like before. Andalusite (Proxamina) came in, sighing. "Amber....she said you did something. How ridiculous is that?"
"Oh, very ridiculous." He said to her, Sir Leopold (MAGICALMAGIC2) slithering down his body. He came to Andalusite and brushed her short hair from her face. "I'm reformed, remember? Silly gem." He booped her nose.
Andy chuckled, looking up at him. "I didn't believe her, Serpentine. Don't worry. And I'm so glad to see you standing."
"Oh, he'ssssss sssssstanding alright." Sir Leopold said. Serpentine was secretly glad only he could understand snakes.
"Now, tell me how your day went?"
"Oh, it wasn't worth mentioning." Andy smiled. "I only met that new gem, Amber." (Burke23)

"Ah." He smiled, grabbing her hands. "Well, I hope your friendship doesn't end too fast, now."
"Its fine...." Andy looked away.

Serpentine had plans of his own. "Why don't we go into town?"
Her eyes lit up. "Alright!"


Beach city was dark from the night, street lights lighting their way. The arcade was open, and inside, Serpentine found two gems by peeping in. His heart pounding, he gasped and his, grabbing Andy. "Woah! What's wrong?"
"Two gems from that little group are in there." He said, his eyes widening to tiny, yellow slits. "That Citrine, and the Kyanite."

"Oh!" Andy nodded. "Let's sneak around this place so were unseen."

He ran with her until the arcade was far away. He waited until his body stopped shaking. 'What....what is this emotion?' He thought, staring down at his trembling hands. 'Is this....what fear feels like?'
"Serpentine, are you okay?" Andy grabbed his arm, looking up at him with her worried gaze.
"Y--yes." He took a deep breath, and he stopped shaking. What was happening to him? He received a new power, then feels fear. Was his body capable of emotions now? He wasn't sure he liked it.

They walked along the beach, hand in hand. He scanned the area. Wasn't there ANYONE he could try this on? 'There is one person.' Said the voice inside of his mind.
He looked over to Andy, whom was walking alongside his happily. 'N--no! No! I couldn't possibly be thinking of--No! No! No!"

"Hey!" Her voice cut him from his thoughts. "I said 'did you want to head back'?"
"Oh, sure." He nodded, taking her hand in his and turning around. He wanted anything but to remember what he thought about doing. Anyone, he'd do this to. Anyone....but her.




Since they didn't have beds, they slept curled up together against a wall. Andy was asleep, while Serpentine was wide awake. Why couldn't he do this? He shouldn't be groveling to Andy, should he? He shook his head. 'I love her, and perhaps always will. I can't betray her like that.' He slipped away from her and walked outside.


The sand touched his toes coldly as the moon illuminated the sand and water. He knew there was a temple around here somewhere. He looked up to a rocky cliff above him. 'There.' He thought, with a grin.
On the patio, a Pearl stood, sighing at the ocean as her white hands gripped the railing. He came up to her, and she never knew.




The next morning, Andy woke to a bunch of food still in their boxes. "S--Serpentine?"
"I went shopping last night." He came into view, grinning down at her. "I know gems don't have to eat, but still, why not?"
Andy smiled up at him. "Thank you."

'No, thank PEARL!' Said that voice in the back of his mind. Serpentine hated that voice.
